Gynostemma or jiaogulan
The Gynostemma is a climbing plant from Japan or China. Also called "Jiaogulan" this plant is also known as the herb of immortality!
This plant belongs to the family of cucurbits.
It has been consumed as a tea by generations of Chinese emperors from the 17th to the 20th century.
In some villages of southern China, populations consuming this herb, see their number of centenarians much higher than the rest of the country!
The Gynostemma, in addition to its natural sweetening capacity, contains active substances identical to those of Ginseng.
